Bloomsburg Men's Tennis Downs ESU in Bloomsburg Duals
BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg men's tennis team competed in the first day of the Bloomsburg Duals defeating Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference rival East Stroudsburg by a score of 7-2.
In first doubles, the team of Dan Gal (South Park/South Park) and Dan Phillips (Colchester/England) got an 8-2 win while at third Geoff Whitely (Wernersville/Conrad Weiser) and Justin Hertzog (Zionsville/Zionsville) teamed up to get an 8-1 win.
For singles play, Gal, Phillips, Ryan Glubo (Old Bridge/Old Bridge), Andrew Slike (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia), and Evan Miller (Hanover/Hanover) all picked up wins for the Huskies.
In the two other matches of the day, Concordia College swept Bentley, 9-0 while Barton College picked up a 7-2 win over Assumption College.
The Bloomsburg Duals continue tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. with Bloomsburg taking on Bentley, Assumption playing East Stroudsburg and Concordia against Barton.
